This jewelry tray was inspired by the skills learned in PP1, with use of lathe and foam to make a another animal form. In the original animal project in PP1, I took the approach to make a toy-like, plush teddy bear which main function was to serve as a decoration.  This reimagines the original PP1 animal form project with a functional twist, reflecting the emphasis on merging playfulness with practicality. I wanted to bring this idea into a 3D model after learning the steps of painting the foam, and how much labor went into carving the forms. Following the modular desk organizer project, I immediately went to thinking of what other items I could include on my own desk to reduce clutter yet add an aesthetic appeal.
