Statement of Intent

I’m hoping to pursue a future in product design at ArtCenter College of Design. I’m passionate about building meaningful experiences through visual storytelling, and I’m especially drawn to the intersection of form, function, and emotion.

I first discovered ArtCenter through its reputation as one of the most rigorous and forward-thinking design schools in the world. What stood out to me was its unique structure—studio-based learning with direct access to real-world brands like New Balance, Nike, Hermes, and Google. As someone who thrives in hands-on environments, that blend of industry and creativity felt like the ideal place for me to challenge myself and grow.

My inspirations come from a wide range of places: from trend forecasting and the world of high fashion, to architecture, to artists who balance beauty with commentary. My goal as a designer is to gain as much experience as possible while carving out my own space in the industry. I want to not only learn how to create work that is functional and beautiful, but also work that contributes to culture and reflects the complexity of the world we live in. I also hope to use my time at ArtCenter to collaborate with other creatives, build a strong foundation, and eventually use my platform to create new opportunities, for both myself and others.

I chose Product Design because it combines everything I value most: research, storytelling, aesthetics, and impact. Whether I end up designing products, experiences, or systems, I want to create work that is intentional, moving, and distinctly my own.
